Wow ! How far have we come ! We can see on her timeline how Min Jee is slimming down week after week. She sometimes has doubts, questions whether she is indeed getting slimmer whilst admitting that her trousers are falling off her and has to buy some new ones. The mind can be such a source of torment. She is convinced that she isn’t getting slimmer even when she sees how much weight she is losing! As my diet isn’t really one, in the strict sense of the term, she isn’t depriving herself and as a result is finding it harder to grasp the deep changes occurring in her body.
Now, here is the picture she has just posted on Instagram. It speaks for itself, doesn’t it ? 2 months only, and what amazing results ! And to think that when I met her, Min Jee was about to go under the knife to endure gastric reduction surgery! Her doctor reconned there wasn’t anything that could be done other than surgery (with all the risks it entails) to save her. Considering that, I am incredibly proud of her results.
Of course, I am coaching her for nutrition, fitness and motivation, but she brings a tremendous amount of energy and doggered determination to the equation. These results are really the fruit of our combined efforts. So, now that she has discovered the face that was hiding under all the excess weight, Min Jee is getting caught in the « faster ! » syndrome. She wants to accelerate and I, her coach, want her to stop losing weight now for a period of 2 months. Why ? Because it is time to stabilise this new body. Really own it. Be in control of it. And then we will set out again on the right footing.
In the meantime, Min Jee is going to get started on a BOOSTER week. Why? Simply because losing weight and changing lifestyle causes deep changes in the body. And, any changes (even good ones) produce levels of toxins in our system that are higher than our usual cleansing capacities.
