Brrrrr…it‘s cold! Want to open your day with a breakfast that warms you up and keeps you satisfied so that cravings don’t hit at 10am? Do it the LeBootCamp way!
Start with…
1. a freshly squeezed lemon in some room temperature water to wake up and detoxify your body, followed by…
2. a hot Sobacha (buckwheat tea), and with the buckwheat kernels from your tea, we’re going to make…
3. a super tasty porridge!
Why buckwheat? If you are already on my program, you can probably answer this question like a pro! If not, give me the pleasure of introducing you to one of nature’s finest nutritional wonders…a unique gluten-free plant with a rapid satiating capacity thanks to its rich blend of protein and soluble fiber. Buckwheat is a complete protein and is known for its antioxidant properties, thus supporting our body’s detoxification functions (a LeBootCamp goal!). And now…let’s get cooking! Feel free to switch up this breakfast recipe with chunks of your favorite seasonal fruit or a touch of honey and cinnamon. Totally divine!
Ingredients:
- 6 tbsp buckwheat, previously steeped in hot water for Sobacha
- 1 cup of vegan milk
- 1/4 cup mixed dried fruit and seeds (your choice)
- 1 cup fresh berries
- A few drops of vanilla extract
- Fresh mint for garnish
