Happy Thursday! Voila, a brand new recipe is out on our LeBootCamp YouTube Channel.
Check out our fun cooking section created just for you: #LaBonneCuisine Cooking.
Salmon is one of my favorite foods – for both its flavor and health benefits! Did you know? The body does not know how to synthesize omega 3 & omega 6 fats and must therefore receive them from food. Omega 3 and 6 fats are excellent for your heart health and play a role in the composition of cell membranes, the balance of your hormonal and immunization systems, as well as brain functions. Omega 3’s are found in great quantities in raw nuts and seeds, canola oil, nut oils, soybean oil, and of course, in fatty fish like mackerel and salmon. When I say “fatty”, I’m talking good fat! And hey, even the fattiest fish is less fatty than the leanest of meats. So, don’t hesitate to eat fish regularly, at least 2 times a week.
Today’s recipe will give you dinner in less than 15 minutes – I promise! Try it out for yourself right here with me on video!
Ingredients:
- 3 salmon steaks
- 2 tbsp low-sodium soy sauce
- 2 tbsp honey
- ½ tbsp grated fresh ginger
- Canola oil
Directions:
- Combine the soy sauce and honey together.
- Add the grated ginger and mix well.
- Grease a foil-lined baking tray with some canola oil.
- Place the salmon steaks on the tray and brush them with the soy sauce/honey glaze.
- Broil the salmon for 6 mins on high.
Bon appétit!
