Hooray, it’s Thursday! And we’ve got a brand new recipe out on our LeBootCamp YouTube Channel.
Check out our fun cooking section created just for you: #LaBonneCuisine Cooking.
I’m honored to have my fellow cooks in the kitchen again with me this week! These amazing YouTubers @Sandrea and @AudreyMarshmaloo are here to share one of their favorites which fits perfectly with our LeBootCamp lifestyle!
This recipe makes for a gourmet and healthy breakfast, and is ideal for those of you who crave something salty in the morning, with just a touch of sweet to surprise your taste buds. Yes, you can have a savory breakfast! In fact, it’s even preferable to the more common sweet breakfast, because staying savory makes it easier to control the Glycemic Index of your meal and avoid the mid-morning slump caused by a high-sugar start. In addition, this type of breakfast is easy to digest and will keep you full until your next meal sans cravings.
For all these reasons I like to bring a touch of goat cheese or vegetarian protein to my breakfast, as well as wild salmon, nuts, avocado…in short healthy fats, good protein and fiber!
What I love about this recipe is that the possibilities are endless: you can easily switch up the fruit and nuts (almonds, walnuts, hazelnuts, crushed pistachios…) to your liking :). So you can maintain the same base (bread + goat cheese) but still feel like you’re eating something new every time!
Ingredients for 4 people:
- 4 slices of bread
- Goat cheese
- Raspberries or fresh figs
- Walnuts or almonds
- Honey
I would love to get your feedback on this recipe! Feel free to send photographs of this dish to [email protected]. The best ones will be published on my blog!
Bon appétit!
