Here is a quick, gourmet and easy recipe that will make both kids and adults happy!
- 2 baskets of quartered strawberries
- 7 tbs of Moscato wine
- 4 tbs powdered sugar
- the juice of half a lemon
- buttermilk biscuits or scones ready to bake or ingredients to make at home
- 1 small jar of whipping cream (or vegan version, coconut cream does wonders!)
Bring 2 baskets of quartered strawberries to a simmer with 5 tbs of Moscato wine
3 tbs powdered sugar
and the juice of half a lemon….about 20 min (if you go over by a few minutes it is not dramatic)
While this is simmering bake 8 buttermilk biscuits or scones (or vegan equivalent). If you are in a hurry the ready-made version can do for this recipe…Soon we will learn how to make them ourselves!
While this is baking make your whipped cream either with soy cream for a vegan version (it will take longer to form peaks) or with the real stuff (keeping in mind the saturated fat count will be high so keep the rest of your meal in check). After beating the cream for 1 min add 1 tbs of Moscato and 2 tbs of powdered sugar. Continue until peaks are forming.
Make sure you are using very cold cream and a metal bowl you will have placed in your fridge beforehand.
Then, cut the biscuits in half, spread some cream and strawberry reduction and a little bit more cream. Put the cap back on and ENJOY!
It is a little on the rich side but you can enjoy it after an intense exercise session:)
