It has now been 3 months since my journey with Min Jee began!
If you want to see where she started from, this is the first post on our story together –> it’s here.
Cast your mind a few months back, I met her one day, in a beauty salon, in a state of morbid obesity. She was scheduled for gastric surgery two days later in order to help her lose weight as fast as possible. Her weight at the time? 105 kg pour 1m53 (231.5 lbs for 5ft). More than twice my weight for a smaller frame, I could just imagine how hard her heart must have been working to support her corpulence.
Equipped with iron clad motivation, she accepted my offer to “give me” a month of her life to help her reclaim her body without invasive surgery. It would all be based on my wholesome weight loss program (LeBootCamp.com). No extreme dieting but dietary re-balancing. No lengthy hours stuck between 4 walls in a gym. All rounded off with tips and techniques to manage her stress (she manages a beauty salon), her sleep and stay at the peak of her motivation.
Almost every week, I have shared her journey with you. Now, 3 months later, I am proud and happy to announce that Min Jee has lost 20 kg (44 lbs) and has dropped to 85 kg (187 lbs)! She is in great form as she returns from a weekend in à Las Vegas where she prefered to stroll down the famous Strip rather than cab it. A change from the past!
The previous weekend? She headed for the Yosemite Park where she took on the greatest challenge: 40,000 steps in the day! When I picked her up on Monday her leg muscles were making themselves felt but the radiant smile on her face said a lot about how much every hour spent sweltering in the sun the previous day was worth to her.
The next challenge? Get to 75 kg (165 lbs) by September when she is singing “The Star-Spangled Banner” at a Giants match (that is quite something!)
Another challenge: improve her skin stretched out by so many years of being overweight. I have a few of my own little tricks, endorsed by our expert physician who follows her progress… we are getting excellent results so far… I will tell you nor about that in a few weeks!
To keep her motivated, we outline a different mini nutritional challenge each week. For example: a meat free week, where she needs to find her protein elsewhere… or a garlic and onion free week to encourage her to explore other ways to add flavor to her meals, or else a cruciferous week etc… every little challenge is there to titillate her taste buds and keep her motivated!
And this week’s fitness challenge is 50 reverse triceps a day (2X 25). We are focusing in depth on the triceps
Have a great week!
