Fitness Challenge for you! We are animals, mammals to be exact, and as such we need to move every single day!
It does not mean that everyday should be super intense to a point of hurting yourself but you should have some sort of physical activity every day of the week.
To help you be active this weekend how about a fitness challenge?
Weekend Fitness Challenge
Saturday : 15,000 steps + 50 squats + 25 lunges (per side) + 2 x 1 min plank
Sunday : 15,000 steps + 2 x 30 sec side plank (for each side, so one minute per side total) + 1 min of cross boxing as described in this article “5 easy ab workouts“
Seems too hard?
- 15,000 steps seem too hard? impossible? Fret not! Just split this into smaller increments of 2000 steps and you will get to 15k in no time. Start early in your day to avoid running out of time to reach your goal. Take a backpack and go grocery shopping to a store that’s 3 miles away (you all there if course, you don’t drive).
- 1 min plank is too long? No big deal. Start with 25 seconds and then increase by 10 seconds. You will see how stronger you are than you think!
- 50 squats is way too many squats? Start with 10, pause 1 min and do 10 more. You will impress yourself by how strong you are.
