I am often told that I am lucky to be doing all I do, that life has been nice to me, and that some people don’t have it that easy.
Granted, we are all different, we all have our strengths and weaknesses but without going into specifics I have not been spared by life, far from it.
Between my health issues, which started when I was a few days old and which have impacted pretty much every area of my body from the brain to the skeleton, and business sharks I had to fight against, my life hasn’t always been Edith Piaf’s “la vie en rose” !
But, and the same attitude works for weight loss, training, working, self-development, etc, I have always cultivated the can-do, I’m possible, yes I can, tomorrow is another day, and…..I have most importantly never settled for mediocrity or an ordinary life. When I was seven, I so not wanted to be from planet Earth (how banal) that I claimed I was coming from Venus!
When I was a teenager I was told that the only thing I could do was to become a beautician. Why this was my only career choice still baffles me! I wanted to become an archeologist to understand past lives, then a doctor to save lives, and then…I became me, myself and I, and developed my life.
I could never do a 9-5 job. I tried. It was not for me.⠀
I started my first company early, only to have it stolen by evil partners.⠀
Started again. Same story. Too naive.⠀
Started again. Owned 100%. LeBootCamp.⠀
Was not enough. Started another one. LiliWarrior (soon to be launched in English).⠀
Had a lot to share, so became an author (47 books translated in 5 languages)….had even more to create, so I became a steamy romance author (name is secret).⠀
Loved the speed so took on riding.⠀
Wanted to climb the 7 summits and more and have done 5 out of 7…and now I am working on skiing to both Poles.⠀
I was told my health was too weak to do all this.⠀
I have been told repeatedly that I could not, should not, would not do it.⠀
I never cared. Never complained. ⠀
I only look at my own inner light to power through without letting any doubt eat my grit away.⠀
We are stronger than we think. Some of us just accept it earlier than others.⠀
Free your inner strength and become who you are destined to be.⠀
You are stronger than you think!
